We’re all on a journey, whether we are aware of it or not. When we die, life doesn’t end there. There’s a greater divine and spiritual life around us, besides our regular day-to-day lives. And so, a spiritual journey is that walk and quest for God, gradually growing in knowledge of Him, seeking Him, and understanding how to go about our lives in accordance to our faith.
Walking through life God’s way can be challenging at times, but we can do it through Christ Jesus who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Seeking God and walking in His ways should always be our number one priority. We NEED to spend time with Him; that means creating time. We always say, I’m busy, busy, busy; but yet we’d make time for other pleasures. Honestly, no one is ever that busy! We’ll always make time for those things which are important to us!
What’s important to you? What and who are you making your number one priority? Or rather, who and what are you idolizing (putting before God)? How are you spending your time on earth? What thoughts do you prioritize in your mind? How is your life with OR without God? How does it make you feel? Wait…..do you believe in God? When you look around you, at the heavens, the oceans, the animals, the weather, the wonders in the sky, life and death, birth, humans, history, rain, the sun, the stars, the galaxy, etc; does it make you wonder who the Creator is? Don’t you want to know and be in touch with the Creator? Do you want to seek Him? What’s stopping you? You say you love God. Do you really love Him? Do you know what it means to love God? (Read 1 John 5:3, John 14:15, 2 John 1:6). You say you know God. Do you really know God? The scriptures say that, he who says that he knows God but does not keep His commandments, is a liar and the truth isn’t in him (1 John 2:3-6). What else does the Bible say about the things you do, the activities you get involved in, the thoughts you ponder on, the words that come off your tongue, the things you watch, read and listen to? What does the Bible say about them? Are they of God or the devil? Are you following God’s commandments? Lastly, have you thought about your life after death? Eternal life? Heaven and Hell? Do you believe in Jesus, the son of God? WHO ARE YOU?
